Derek Eckenroth—award-winning university and wedding photographer — graduated from Bob Jones University in 2014. Since then, he has had the privilege to serve at his alma mater as a full-time photographer. Derek also serves on the board of directors for the University Photographers Association of America. In addition to his university photography endeavors, Derek also enjoys doing freelance photography. Adding value to his clients’ lives through photography drives him to continually seek ways to better himself professionally. And while based in Greenville, South Carolina, Derek welcomes opportunities to travel. 

Often, you will see Derek perching on the top of an event tent, lying on the ground, or somewhere in between to capture the perfect shot. Early in his career, a mentor of Derek’s told him his best compositional tool is his feet—and Derek has never forgotten.

Tabitha Eckenroth—the better half of the duo—married Derek in 2020. Tabitha serves as an assistant on photo shoots and helps coordinate scheduling and paperwork. One of the most selfless people you'll meet, she truly enjoys serving others. She pitches in however she can to help the photos (and the overall event) go as smoothly and seamlessly as possible.
